On 5 March 2012, Dr. Mustafa al-Kubaisi, Assistant Director of the Iraqi Center for Strategic Studies (ICSS) in Amman, met with researchers at Al Jazeera Center for Studies to explore the prospects of potential cooperation between the two centres. He also sought to exchange experiences and discussed deteriorating conditions in Iraq, particularly in light of U.S. withdrawal, violence, and sectarian divisions.
