AJCS webinar to discuss cyber wars and their role in international strategies

Al Jazeera Centre for Studies is organising a webinar in collaboration with Al Jazeera Mubasher entitled, “Cyber War in International Strategies,” set to take place on Sunday, 13 March 2022, at 5:30 pm Mecca standard time. The webinar comes in the context of the use of cyber-attacks in the current Russian-Ukrainian war and the losses incurred for both parties as a result.

The webinar will discuss the concept, history and backgrounds of cyber war and shed light on the most prominent crises and wars in which it was used. It will also explain its importance, how it is managed and its methods as well as highlight the defence and security methods that states apply to foil them.

Additionally, the webinar will touch on the cyber capabilities of Middle Eastern states and the cyber threats facing them in addition to the procedures they undergo to protect themselves against this new type of war.

Participating in the webinar will be researchers and experts specialised in cyber war. It will be broadcast on Al Jazeera Mubasher and live-streamed on the following social media platforms:
