Al Jazeera Centre for Studies and the Council on Foreign Relations in the Islamic Republic of Iran are organising a research conference under the title, “The Arabs and Iran: A Dialogue about the Region’s Crises,” in Doha on 21-23 May 2022 with the participation of a select group of Iranian and Arab researchers and experts.

The conference aims to explore the opinions of the experts on the nature of current and future Iranian-Arab relations and identify the nature of crises and challenges they face as well as the means of dealing with them.

It is set to take place over the course of three days. The first day will include the opening session followed by closed discussion sessions over the next two days in which experts will present the visions of both Iran and the Arabs of the challenges and crises that some of the region’s countries face – especially Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Palestine – as well as the Iranian nuclear file and their evaluation of the role and impact of external factors on all of these files and crises.

The conference will conclude with a brainstorming session and the presentation of the key outlines, solutions and recommendations of the participants.

The opening session will be broadcast on Al Jazeera Mubasher and live-streamed on AJCS’s social media platforms here:
