Al Jazeera Centre for Studies is organising a web conference in collaboration with Al Jazeera Mubasher under the title, “Palestinian Citizens in Israel and the Israeli Governing Institution.” The web conference is set to take place on 26-28 August 2023, and will feature an elite group of researchers, experts and academics.

The conference will discuss the gains and losses resulting from the participation of Palestinians within the occupied territories of 1948 in Israeli governance institutions. In this context, its sessions will examine the effects and consequences of this participation on the political, security, economic, social and cultural conditions of Palestinians within the Green Line.

The web conference will also address the problems and challenges facing Palestinians within Israel, as well as the nature of disputes among them and how they can overcome them in order to unify their ranks, enhance their political gains and preserve their Palestinian identity.

In addition, the conference will touch on the relationship of Palestinians within Israel with other Palestinian factions, particularly in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and the role that the former can play in the framework of resisting Israeli occupation and reclaiming the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

The sessions will be broadcast on Al Jazeera Mubasher and live-streamed on AJCS’S social media platforms.
