11th Al Jazeera Forum, The State Crisis and the Future of the the Middle East

Al Jazeera Centre for Studies is organising its 11th Al Jazeera Forum in Doha, Qatar on 15-16 April 2017. This year's Forum will discuss the crisis of the state and the future of the Middle East.

The 11th Al Jazeera Forum,  the state crisis and the future of the Middle East

The forum will take place on 15-16 April 2017 in Doha, Qatar.  The 11th Al Jazeera Forum comes at the time when a number of Arab countries are going through serious political challenges.  ‎‎The challenges stem from a long colonial period which have seen the dismantling of the Arab states. 

The forum will host politicians, thinkers and journalists from all over the world in the following panel discussions for two days:

- ‎The historical context of the Arab States ‎

- Reasons for the regional political challenges.  

- Does the prospect of the Arab Spring still represents a possibility for reform.

- 100 years after the Balfour Declaration, what does the existence of Israel mean to     the region?

- Where is the Middle East headed?
