A delegation from Doshisha University of Japan visits AJCS

A delegation from Doshisha University of Japan Headed by Professor Msanori Naito, president of the World Resources Management Program visited Al Jazeera Centre for Studies (AJCS) on Wednesday, 14 December 2016. The visit comes in the context of discussing aspects of joint cooperation between this ancient university (founded 1875) and AlJazeera Centre for Studies. The two sides agreed on the importance of exchanging knowledge and having a common understanding of what is happening in the Middle East on the one hand, and of Japan’s policy and vision for itself and for the world in the next ten years on the other hand. The parties also discussed the mechanisms to achieve this particular goal through joint research activities and events.

Meanwhile, the Global Resource Management Program is an educational PhD program designed to prepare graduates who can in their educational and cultural configuration combine Humanities with Applied Sciences, especially in technological fields, with the purpose of developing the areas that are affected by poverty, conflicts and wars around the world. Such graduates would then be able to manage human and natural resources of their own countries and areas and regions efficiently and to advocate cultural integration, religious tolerance and ethnic coexistence.
