The Present Plight of Iraqi Christians and Future Concerns
The U.S. occupation of Iraq and the ensuing destruction of the features of the Iraqi State and its institutions, and the ignited civil war among its ethnic components, has raised legitimate questions about the reality and the future of the Christian presence in Iraq. Is the targeting of Christians, their places of worship and the killing of their religious men, intentional? Or maybe targeting includes all the people of Iraq, regardless of their ethnic, sectarian and religious backgrounds?
