This book was published a year after of the blockade imposed on Qatar by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt, and the failure of the blockade to achieve its objectives. The book examines the elements of Qatar’s strength and persistence. It also explores the course of the Gulf crisis and explains how Qatar was able to politically, diplomatically and economically overcome the impact of the blockade and how it managed to turn it into an opportunity to consolidate its power.
