AJCS webinar to discuss impact of US elections on Middle East issues

22 October 2020

Al Jazeera Centre for Studies and Al Jazeera Mubasher are hosting a webinar on Tuesday, 27 October 2020, at 6:00 pm entitled “The impact of US election results on Middle East issues,” with the participation of a select group of researchers and experts.

The webinar will present the domestic and international contexts that the US presidential elections are taking place in and the issues that concern American voters and may influence their voting behavior. It will also address the orientations of the presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Joe Biden, and their competing parties vis-à-vis the issues and problems of the Middle East and the potential policies of each in case of victory.

Moreover, panellists will shed light on the reasons that led Americans to dispute over the impartiality of the elections, which candidate is more likely to win, similarities between these elections and those of 2016, how US institutions will deal with Trump’s potential loss and refusal to transfer power.

The webinar will be broadcast on Al Jazeera Mubasher and live-streamed on AJCS’s social media platforms:
