Tlidi is a researcher specialised in the study of Islamic movements and holds a PhD in Islamic reformist thought from Chouaib Doukkali University in El Jadida, Morocco. He has participated in many conferences and seminars related to Islamic movements, and is a weekly columnist for Al-Quds Al-Arabi.
