Al Jazeera Centre for Studies is pleased to congratulate Dr. Rafik Abdessalem on his appointment as Foreign Minister in the new Tunisian government. The government, formed in the wake of the Tunisian revolution, has begun undertaking its first tasks towards establishing a pluralistic and modern democratic political regime.
The Centre wishes Dr. Abdessalem success in his new, well-deserved position. We are confident that he has the skills for and is fully competent to head up this important ministry.
We are honoured to be included among those who have worked with Dr. Abdessalem. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to him for his perseverance, continuous efforts, careful scholarship, great contributions, distinct involvement and professionalism during his work within the Al Jazeera Centre, first as a writer from London, and later as a senior researcher in the Research and Studies Department. History will record his contributions which have played a significant role in establishing the major building blocks for the Centre’s development.
