AJCS Seminar: Implications of the Killing of General Soleimani on the Middle East

There has been an open-ended escalation and threats between the Trump administration and the Iranian leadership with various scenarios of retaliation. Non-state actors like Hezbollah have lined with the so-called ‘resistance nexus’ and vowed to take revenge of the general assassination in a U.S. airstrike near Baghdad International Airport on Friday, 3 January 2020.

To help deconstruct the new security and political uncertainties in the Middle East and beyond, Al Jazeera Centre for Studies is hosting a public seminar entitled, “Where is the Middle East headed after the killing of Soleimani?” at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, 8 January 2020, in Doha at Al Jazeera Media Institute auditorium.
