Al Jazeera Centre for Studies and Al Jazeera Mubasher are hosting a webinar on Thursday, 20 May 2021, at 6:00 pm Mecca standard time entitled, “The Palestinian Cause on the 73rd Anniversary of Al Nakba,” with the participation of a select group of researchers and experts.

The webinar aims to shed light on the internal Palestinian scene and its shifts between the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem, and will discuss its most prominent features including elections, national unity, and the unification of the Palestinian position towards the peace process and resistance.

The webinar will also touch on the internal Israeli scene in light of the hegemony of the right wing, the failure to form a government, and the implications on Israeli policy towards the Palestinians and the peace process.

The webinar will conclude by forecasting the course of the Palestinian cause and the peace process given the shifts on each side – the Palestinians’ and the Israelis’ – and the region overall.

This webinar comes in light of the Israeli escalation witnessed by Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque in the past two weeks along with the military operations launched by the Israeli army against the Gaza Strip and retaliation by the Palestinian resistance through missile attacks targeting Israeli cities.
